Blog 4.3: Plead for His Life

How do you feel when your love one is an army? Scared, right? If you are the wife of Aeneas who will fight the Greeks on the night of the Fall of Troy, would you let him? Creusa as the wife of Aeneas begged him not to fight against the Greeks also, Andromache pleads Hector not to fight. Those girls truly love their husbands. They care for their spouse and they don't want any harm for them.

Creusa and Andromache were the type of wives that will do anything just to put their loved ones in a safety lane. Aeneas and Hector were so lucky for having such wives but they want to fight for their town and dignity. Surely, when something happens to them, their wives will be depressed. 

Blog 4.2: Victory through Terrible Loss

As Aeneas takes his path to the victory, this is the start of something new. The new beginning and the triumph of him, why?

This is a new commencement for Aeneas because he will make a new history by his self and make a new future of him. With this chance, he can make his life longer and he can also fulfill what he dreams of. Also, he can lead an army that can take a revenge to the Greeks. 

Looking at the positive side even though it is painful, he escaped from the bad fate of  the Troys. This made his triumph. He saved his life from the Greeks and now, he's the only hope of the Trojans. If you are Aeneas, I'm sure that in the first place, you'll think of a revenge. 

Blog 4.1: Quarrying their Own Graves

Living in a world full of war was a place for Trojans. They may be good in fighting but not that much when the Greeks made their move to invade and defeat the Trojans. The Greeks came up with an idea of offering Minerva with a wooden horse. Trojans accepted it without knowing that they already made their own graves. That wooden horse has a belly full of Greek soldiers who will start the dilemma of the Trojans. The whole Troy was destroyed and many people died. Aeneas was so lucky that he escaped in this fate.

Seeing your home town destructed and other people died was so hurtful. You grew up there and you love it of course but in just a blink, you'll see it devastated? How cruel, right? But there's no more upsetting to know your family died with that place. If I was Aeneas, I would feel so miserable because I don't have a home anymore. That is the place where I made my own family but then, it vanished in an instant?

Surely I will feel sympathy to the Trojans because they even don't know what their destiny will be. They happily claimed the gift of the Greek without thinking that it might be a trap because they were great rivals. If I was one of the Troys, I won't let anything coming from my rival get inside our base.

Behind an Enigmatic Smile

Mona Lisa was created by a genius painter, Leonardo da Vinci. This masterpiece was able to draw the attention of many not just of perfection but with intriguing details in it. Leonardo da Vinci, being a genius painter he is, created a smile, an enigmatic smile that could draw you in. Many wonders what's behind 'that' smile, was it really fascinating or our eyes were just playing a silly trick on us?

If you look close to the painting you'll notice that her expression seems to change, depending on the direction of how you look at her. One look she's smiling the second look, she's not. Looks can be really deceiving at times. Critics tried hard enough to reveal the mystery, but then to no avail, they always fail. Until the day that one neurologist discovered something new. "This enigmatic smile" was caused by our mind and sight alone. Different point of direction and her different expressions was caused by a trick played by our sight. This trick concerns the way we see. Our eyes use two regions to see. When we look at someone's face we focus centrally in their eyes. Gazing at her eyes our peripheral vision notices the mouth, catching the shadows from our cheekbones. The shadow plays the trick, hinting the curve of a smile. When we look to her mouth directly, the smile seems to fade because shadow was not present to do the trick.

After the trick was revealed. critics proved it correct/ She smiles and then shows a serious face. On the other hand many mysteries about the painting are still unreached and at the same time, unresolved. This only proves how great Leonardo da Vinci was at his time. He was able to create a masterpiece of perfection that could last for a millennia. 

Sun and the Moon

"Ma'am, your orders are one large cone of Cookies 'N' Cream and a large cone of Cheese and one banana split. Extra orders Ma'am?" the lady asked me.

"Will you please give me an extra sundae? Chocolate flavor." 

"Okay Ma'am." I nodded and then Monique's turn to order.

"Jaja! Why do you have to order all of these?!" Monique said while our orders our coming.

"You don't care. I told you, I have an unfinished business." I said while my eyes were focused in our orders.

"Give me some!" I glared at her. 

"Don't touch any of them." I said and start eating.

"UUGH. I bet you'll go in the gluttonous part in hell." Monique said.

"HAHAHA. I know.^__^"

After we eat, our bills came. I spent  374 pesos then I gave 1000 pesos. They gave me the change but it's only 526. It should be 626 pesos. 

"Hey mister!" The guy walked towards us.

"What are you thinking Jaja?" Monique asked me in a very low tone.

"I think my change should be 626 pesos. Will you double check it?" I did not mind Monique.

"Sure Ma'am" The guy smiled.

"OMY! He's so cute!" Monique said.

"Yah. I know! Hey you! You have a boyfriend then you're so flirt!" I said. then Monique became sad.

"Hey! problem?" I asked her.

"Yah! I hate Math!" Monique said.

"I know! Hahahaha. hey. I have something to tell you about my dream." I told her.

"What about your dream?"

FLASHBACK

"Lalalalalala." I was singing while I'm cleaning my room.

"Hey! psst!" 

"huh?" I stopped singing as I heard some body's voice.

"Hey!" O___O

My eyes became bigger as I saw a cute guy in my walking closet.

"Who are you?!" I asked him

"Come here! Our class was about to start." 

I was confused but I find my self walking to the closet. There, I saw an old man. I know him!! He is Aristarchus!

"Good morning!" Aristarchus said.

I looked around then I saw a beautiful place. HUH? I thought I'm in a class room?? 

"Hi Jaja. I'm Aristarchus." The old man said.

"Why do you know me?" I asked.

"I don't know. HAHAHAH." he laughed. 

"You're Aristarchus right? You're so good in Math and I love Math!" I said.

"You do? Oh. hahaha. so we're the same. ^__^" We roam around the place and I asked different questions to him. Until we have talked about the sun, moon and earth.

"What will you choose, sun, moon or Earth?" He asked.

"I want to be the Sun." I told him.

"Me too!" He said.

I smiled and he told me the story why he discovered the distances of the three.

"You're so great!" I told him.

"Someday, I want you to discover something." He said.

"I will." I told him.

"You're dream was so boring!" Monique said. 

"Psh! I know you have a problem. What is it?" I told her

"It's about my boyfriend." Monique said.

"What?! He's cheating on you?!" I asked.

"No! He will go to States tomorrow." I smiled and the I remembered something about my dream.

"What will you choose? Sun, Moon or Earth?" I asked her and she looked puzzled.

"Huh?"

"Just answer!"

"Ok. ok! I would rather choose the sun." She said.

"OH. Why?" I asked her.

"Because it's the center of the solar system and it brings light to all things." She said.

"Exactly!" I said.

"Huh? I don't get what you mean." She told me.

"Aristotle told me how far the Sun from the Moon is. Let say that your boyfriend is the Moon. No matter how long is your distance from each other, the Moon always need the Sun to help it bring light during night." I told her.

"How about the Earth?" She asked.

"Even though there is an Earth between the Moon and the Sun, they always share their lights like you and your boyfriend." I said.

"Why?"

"You're so slow! You will love each other even though your distance is more than the Moon and the Sun." I said and she smiled.

"What do you know about love ha?!" she said.

"Hahaha. That's not love, that's MATH." I said.

"Excuse me Miss." The guy interrupted us.

"yeah?" I asked.

"Sorry, here's your change." He gave me 626 pesos.

"Thank you." I smiled and also the guy.

"Love is in the air~~~~" Monique said as we are both looking at the guy walking through the counter.

"No! Oxygen and other gases are." I said.

"Yah! Look! The people are going to the counter to pay their bills. Why---??" Monique asked then we looked at the guy a while ago.

"Sir, you don't have to get their payments." the lady said to the guy. I think he noticed us so he winked at me??? O___O

Just a Dream

One day, I saw myself walking along a wide road. A creepy one which made my heart beat so fast. I've tried to look for cars and other people. I even yelled that loud but I can only hear the whistling of the wind. I'm starting to be confused on where am I but then, I heard a voice coming from nowhere. "Just walk until you reach the light." The voice said. I saw a bright light ahead of me but it is too far. I started walking until the place change. 

I saw a big golden gate with a man standing in front of that. I want to walk backwards but then, the road vanished. I was about to cry because I'm so frightened but my feet made its own move then I found my self in front of the man. His face was so blurry but I don't care! I want to get out of this place! "Hey lady." I heard the man saying. His voice was so masculine but I can't see his face. "You want to enter?" He asked pointing through the gate. "What's inside of that gate?" I asked him peeping inside the gate but I can't see anything in it. "It is a place where souls who committed sins were punished." I can't believe it! "What place is this?!" I asked him. "I told you a while ago. This is a place where souls were punished." He said it calmly. "How come that I entered this place?!" I asked. "Just come with me and finish what you have started." He gave me a red bracelet with numbers one up to five. The gate opened and at the time we entered it, the road behind us was full of smoke. "Afraid huh? Hahahaha. We better keep going." The man said. If only I can see his face, I know that he's grinning. 

We walked and I saw a big arc saying 'Lazy souls'. Like oh my gosh! I saw souls carrying heavy things and placing it at the other side of the road. "Those things weigh triple as the weight of the soul. They continuously carry those things. The guards wont let them eat nor drink and if they rest just for a while, the punishment will double." How rude this place is. Walking by the road, I bumped a soul. I was about to pick up the thing he dropped but the man stopped me. "Don't ever hold that things if you want to get out of this place." I looked at the soul and I can see in his eyes that he's begging for help. I pity him and all of the souls there. "Hey young lady!" The man was calling me. I run after him because I'm afraid I might get lost. 

On our second stop, I saw souls who have no lips. "What is their sin?" I asked the man because I haven't seen an arc. "They were the souls who lied and those who answered their parents impolitely. Their punishment is, their lips were sealed and taken off. They will remain kneeling on the ground forever." Yah. kneeling on the ground is easy. "Don't you think that kneeling on the ground is easy, the guards won't allow them to stand nor sit." 

I became hungry when I saw our third stop. "Here, the souls who are gluttonous. They were punished by those irresistible foods placed in a shop that no one can enter. Inside the shop was imaginary people who eats happily." The man explained. "I think this is easier than the two stops?" I said watching the souls crave for food. "Nah-ah. Look closely to their bodies, their bones were broken repeatedly." I gasped knowing that their bones were broken. 

On the fourth stop, I saw souls without eyes. "This sin is common to all students. Those souls cheated in all of their tests, quiz and home works. They don't know that they only cheated their selves." I remembered one time, I cheated! WAAAH. I don't want to go here! No! "Hey. I know what you're thinking. Hahaha. You can ask for forgiveness." I was relieved when he said that. 

On the fifth stop, I saw the most disgusting place for my whole life. "Cover your nose. Hahaha. Here, the souls of those boastful will go. Those person who tease different persons." The souls were placed in a stinky, suffocating part. Their faces have worms, cockroaches and different pest coming in and out of their mouth, eyes, nose and ears. Yuck! I can't even imagine that this will happen to me.

"Hey young lady, have you been in love?" Out of nowhere, the man asked me. "M-me? Yes, I've been in love with a man who loves another person." I said shyly. "Yeah. Fight for your love but then don't force him, know your place and if you fail, I'm here to catch you." Woah. "Huh? I don't even know you." I told the man. "You'll know me soon. Goodbye young lady." then, the man disappeared. I heard a voice calling me. "HEY! WAKE UP! YOU SLEEPY HEAD!" "WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I yelled as I opened my eyes. "What happened to you?" my mother asked. "I had a bad dream." I said. "Oh. What was it?" I tried to remember the dream but I can't. "I don't know?" I said. "Nah. Go down and eat. K?" then mom went out of the room. I was about to reach my phone when I saw a familiar bracelet. It is a red one with numbers one up to five. Who gave this to me? UGH. I want to remember any details from my dream!

Upon hearing this blog, I thought that it was only a joke so I did not mind them talking about this. Then, almost of all the juniors talked about it. Ugh, so it is true. This is my first time writing a letter to my crush. This is not as sweet as a  movie you watched from the cinema, not that good as the stories you've read but I assure you that this words came from my heart.

"I tried to tell my self that I don't like you anymore. But I don't know why it makes me like you more."

I don't know where to start. Maybe I'll just star with a simple 'Hi!'. UGH. Its corny! Yah, I know. Okay then, let's be serious. I don't know when did my feelings started. One day, I woke up then, boom! I had a Crush on you.

Whenever I see you, my heart beats so fast like a Super Bass. I can say that it makes me feel like I'm in Heaven when I'm with you. When you are talking to me, I think someone put a Grenade in my mind because it does not functions well.  Because of you, I felt the feeling of being in love. 

Your smile is the best of all. Sometimes, I'm dreaming that I will be the reason of it. On the day it happens, I know that I Could Not Ask For More. When you're down and troubled, you can Count On Me because I'll Be There always. 

I just want to let you know that I'm Lucky because I met a guy like you. Please stay Just The Way You Are co'z I know that there were so many girls admiring you for who you are. 

A Thousand Years will come but you will always be a part of my memory and especially in my heart. In the future, I just wish that I can meet Someone Like You.  \(^O^)/ (^__^)
